Dr. Chay is a true Orthodontic specialist, who received her Masters in Orthodontics from the University of Hong Kong in 1999.
In the same year, she obtained her Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.
She went on to teach Orthodontics at the National University of Singapore for 4 years, performed advanced Orthodontic research, and received numerous awards.

After Singapore, she went on to the USA where she taught orthodontics at the University of the Pacific, San Francisco before deciding to come back to Malaysia under the Returning Experts Programme offered by the Government of Malaysia.
